The five Nordic Twin Towns consist of:
The initial cooperation started in 1947. The towns host official visits from other twin towns, where political and administrative representatives from each town participate. During these meetings connections are made, useful knowledge is shared and people discuss and work with issues of mutual interest.
The responsibility for hosting circulates between the towns.
