Since 1991, hundreds of students and foreign colleagues, especially from Japan, have visited Naestved to enlarge their knowledge of public administration.

The LOPO technical study visit programme offers the possibility of getting acquainted with the Scandinavian welfare model aimed at service and care of the elderly, child and youth policy, environment and planning as well as the public administration of the knowledge society.
Since the establishment of the LOPO technical study visit programme in 1991 many professionals, administrators, politicians, researchers, students etc. have participated in the technical study visit arrangements with subjects relating to the entire public sector.
Owing to the worldwide change of the demographic structure with an increased number of elderly people special interest has been shown in the Scandinavian welfare model concerning care of and services provided to the elderly focusing on the customised care based on the needs and possibilities of the individual citizen.
Also the requirement for a cleaner environment has aroused an interest in the planning and handling of refuse and waste water as practised by the public authorities.
Naestved Municipality - a "pilot-job-center"
Naestved Municipality is one of nine “pilot-job-centres” in Denmark where the responsibility for the Labour Market Policies and the regulation of the unemployment is integrated in a Jobcenter financed and controlled by the municipality.
Support of entrepreneurs and new industry is also a part the tasks for Naestved Municipality and we offer you several visits with senior officers within this specific area.
